Zen Stone's Twig Lamps

Truly unique, each twig lamp base is hand made from naturally shaped stones cut only at the base to provide stability. Some Sandstone lamp bases feature living lichen which covers the stone adding color, texture and life to the rock.

Each lamp comes with a handcrafted lamp shade made from silk, banana, Kozo, mulberry, mango and abaca fiber papers imported from Nepal, Thailand, Japan and the Philippines.

Our artistic paper lamp shades can be viewed individually in our shades catalog. Add these shades to your existing lighting fixtures for an artistic touch. Our lamps and shades go with many decors: Japanese and Asian, Southwestern, Western, country, contemporary or modern, natural motif and many others.

Truly unique, each stone lamp base is hand made by Barry J Benson from naturally shaped stones cut only at the base to provide stability. Our sandstone lamp base features living lichen which covers the stone adding color, texture and life to the rock. Twig and stone lamp bases are made of natural stones that have an ecologically harvested bundle of salt cedar rising out of the center. The salt cedar comes from the Bosque del Apache wildlife refuge along the Rio Grande in central New Mexico. Salt Cedar is an aggressive invader that is cut once a year to maintain the open wetlands for the many water fowl that winter there.

Zen Stone Lighting and Furnishings unique lampshades are created by Margaret M Benson by using the finest quality, colorfast papers and acid free glue. The lamp shade papers, made from silk, banana, Kozo, mulberry, mango and abaca fibers are imported from Nepal, Thailand, Japan and the Philippines. Each lamp shade has many layers of very thin, colored paper combined using a special copyrighted process to create beautiful lighting. These lamps are artistic expressions, both lit and unlit.
